Why the firm exists
Tudo Law Firm opened its asbestos practice in 2004 with three lawyers and one filing cabinet of industry documents. That cabinet is now a database covering more than 3,100 products, and the firm practises from nine offices. The premise has not changed: they knew, they did not warn, and they should pay for it.
As proud as we are of what has been recovered, there is more work to do. People are still being diagnosed with diseases caused by exposures that happened in the 1960s and 1970s, and they will continue to be diagnosed for another generation. We remain committed to bringing those claims.
When can we help?
Immediately, and not only with the legal claim. In the first weeks after a diagnosis the most useful things we do are often not legal at all: answering questions, explaining what the pathology report actually says, putting families in touch with support organisations, and pointing to specialist centres and physicians we know from previous cases.
Where can we help?
Nationwide. We handle asbestos lung disease and mesothelioma claims for auto mechanics, pipefitters, insulators, railroad employees, retired military personnel and everyone else exposed at work. We also represent people exposed at home — from fibres carried in on a family member's work clothes, and from consumer products manufactured with asbestos.
How can we help?
Because we have been doing asbestos litigation since 2004, we do not start each case from nothing. We already hold thousands of depositions taken in asbestos and mesothelioma cases, product descriptions, manufacturers' internal documents and site-specific records representing two decades of research. In practical terms that means we are not spending your case's clock discovering what is already known.
In the community
The firm funds research grants and patient travel assistance through the Mesothelioma Applied Research Foundation, sponsors local awareness events in each of our office cities, and makes a donation to the Foundation for every case review we are asked to conduct, whether or not we take the case.
